Founded in the winter of 2023 by Cody Kerns, Appa Percussion Products, LLC began in a small storage unit workshop. What started as a personal effort to repair and improve worn marching percussion equipment for a high school drumline in Charlotte, NC quickly evolved into a passion for designing more durable, functional, and performance-driven percussion products. Through countless hours of hands-on research, development, and real-world testing, Cody refined innovative upgrades that improved reliability, setup efficiency, and overall performance for students and educators alike.

As a percussion performer, educator, and technician with the help of collaborators deeply involved in the marching arts, Cody founded Appa Percussion Products on the belief that marching percussionists deserve equipment that performs without compromise. Drawing inspiration from Appalachian values of hard work, craftsmanship, and integrity, the company combines American engineering and manufacturing with high-quality global components to create premium marching percussion accessories designed to last a lifetime.
